Peach & Plum Early Learning Centre is located on the lands of the Kulin Nation in Hobsons Bay. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of
this land and honour their Elders—past, present, and emerging.

We are committed to learning and growing as we incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our practices. Together with
the children, we embark on this journey of learning.

We recognize that:
- Building respectful, trusting, and reciprocal relationships with children is essential for each child to develop a sense of belonging, self-
esteem, and confidence.
- Childhood is a precious period of life, and we value the importance of allowing children to simply be children.
- Children learn through play, and their learning should contribute to lifelong success, including good health and wellbeing.

We highly value working in partnership with families to achieve positive learning outcomes for children. Recognizing the importance of these
partnerships, we strive to provide the best possible service for children and their families.

We are committed to creating a safe, happy and inclusive environment for all children by implementing the Child Safe Standards and maintaining
a secure space.

We uphold the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, believing that children’s welfare is paramount. At our
centre, children’s voices are respected, and their participation in decision-making is encouraged and valued.

We celebrate diversity, recognizing that it enriches our community. We incorporate the practices, values, and beliefs of families into our
curriculum to respect and honor all cultures.

We promote the importance of our natural environment and provide a curriculum that encourages children to discover, respect, and care for the
natural world through daily practices.
